My mother in law was a patient for 2 weeks on this ward in July and unfortunately died on the ward. However the care she received was gold standard and couldn’t have been improved if she was nursed anywhere else. All the staff were excellent and she was treated with dignity at all times. This care is likely to be influenced by the 3 excellent sisters on the ward who were all hands on and obviously manage their ward effectively and have high standards. You should be commended on this when there are so many pressures on nhs staff. I am a health care professional myself so I am aware of the pressures and demands upon staff but this was not apparent to us as visitors and didn’t affect standards of care which will involve hard work and dedication. Us as the family were also very well looked after by the staff who were always providing refreshments which again isn’t easy when you are pressured. Thanks for all you did to make my mother in laws last days the best they could have been and for giving us the comfort that she had the best possible care. You should all be proud of yourselves.
"Excellent care"
