I haven’t had the best of experiences with many doctors. A lot of them tend to be rude, arrogant and at times very patronising (from what I remember as a child). However, I can say with certainty that the doctors working at this practice are not like that. Throughout my health journey they have listened, cared and understood how I had felt. The care I received from them was far beyond the care you would receive from an ordinary NHS GP practice. there was a period of time where I had to use the surgery more often than normal and I was looked after very well despite failing treatment after treatment. The doctors didn’t become disheartened, instead they allowed and facilitated me to grow and live a relatively normal life not just physically, but emotionally and psychologically too. I got a sense that the staff and clinicians genuinely cared about their patients health and wellbeing. They often took the initiative as well as a proactive approach to healthcare. Booking appointments and requesting repeat prescriptions online was also incredibly easy. I have since moved out from city and hence I am no longer registered there, however, it is one of the best GP practices in Newcastle. If anyone is new to the area or wanting to switch, please consider it as they offer an incredibly high standard of care to patients, that many other practices can not offer.
