"Thank for providing me a much needed relief"

About: Manchester Royal Infirmary

I suffered a severe allergic reaction to which antihistamines prescribed by my doctor did not help. I started getting worse and hives spread on my neck. It was a long wait that exhausted me but I was thoroughly examined and prescribed medicine strong enough to release my suffering. By the time the medicine started working my body was on hire for 24 hours with severe itching all over and swollen hand, feet and face. Due to angioedema (swelling) of my feet it was difficult to walk too.

It was such a relief to start feeling better and I even slept the whole night even though the medicine was meant to keep me awake.

Thank you for your help!

Thank you for your positive comments posted on the NHS website regarding your care during October at the Walk-in Centre, Manchester Royal Infirmary. It was very kind of you to take the time to write and compliment the staff as it is good to receive positive feedback which reflects their hard work and dedication. It was reassuring to read that you felt you were thoroughly examined and prescribed medicine to ease your suffering. I can assure you that we have passed on your thoughts and thanks to the Head of Nursing who will share with all the staff involved.
