"Not fit for purpose"

About: Glenroyd Medical Centre

Was with this practice for a number of years, until this month, virtually impossible to see a doctor, available appointments unavailable until ringing the following morning, when most of us are working, staff seem to be trained to try to fob patients off to the walk in centre,perhaps the practice is geared up for non workers, so it seems. Furthermore, if you do manage to get an appointment, you rarely see another patient in the waiting rooms, what does this practice do with its funding??

Staff on reception desk seem surplus to requirement as they cannot make you an appointment, preferring to send you to the lobby to telephone someone behind another desk,absolutely ridiculous!!

I wonder if the local MP is aware of the mis management at this practice??

I am now with abbey dale surgery on common edge road, nothing is too much trouble, got me in got an “MOT” so to speak, which I’d had with glenroyd approx 12 months ago, however my new surgery were amazed that I was not tested for a number of things, including diabetes on the last review. My advice to the practice director here would be to liaise with Abbey Dale to see how to run an efficient practice
