"The wonderful NHS"

About: Aberdeen Royal Infirmary / Critical Care Scottish Air Ambulance Scottish Ambulance Service / Emergency Ambulance Western Isles Hospital / Accident & Emergency Western Isles Hospital / High Dependency Unit

(as a service user),

We as a family would like to thank the wonderful Ambulance Crew, A&E staff, Dr Apolopolus, and the HDU Medical 1 staff at the Western Isles Hospital for their compassion and professionalism to our relative, and to us, his family.

Each and everyone did all they could for him, we will be eternally grateful knowing that he was given every chance, but sadly it wasn't to be.

We would also like to thank the Air Ambulance Crew and the wonderful Retrieval Team who went way beyond their duty to phone us to put our mind at rest once the plane had landed in Aberdeen, that meant the world to us.

Also the amazing Doctors/Nurses and all staff at ICU Aberdeen Royal Infirmary, for their compassion and professionalism, what wonderful care you give! you all made a very sad situation more bearable to us as a family. We will never ever forget you for what you did.

I wish we could name each and every one of you as each and everyone of the NHS staff we encountered couldn't have done more for us.

Thank you again from the bottom of our hearts.

Dear Our Wonderful NHS,

Thank you so much for taking the time to share your feedback on CareOpinion. I am so sorry to read about your relative. please accept my sincerest condolences. I cannot begin to imagine how difficult a time you and your family are experiencing and for you to take the time to provide such kind feedback speaks wonders about the staff from all boards that were involved in your relatives care.

I would be very grateful for the opportunity to share this feedback with the teams from SAS who were involved and to pass on your heartfelt thank you. If you would like for this to happen, would you be able to email me at alan.martin2@nhs.net and provide me with your relatives name along with the dates, times and locations of our involvement?

Thank you again and I wish you and your family well wishes during this very difficult time.

Kind Regards

Alan
