Having made a call to Green Meadows Ascot surgery due to a chronic ear infection, the receptionists/administrator booked me into another local GP for an 8am Saturday appointment in order to receive a solution. Upon arrival, having left my home early, there was no record of my appointment nor did they make the provision to see me.
I’d like to say that this is the first incident of inadequate service I have experienced from Green Meadows but unfortunately not.
We rely on our local GP to offer a basic service of help and care however it appears, yet again, that this basic can’t be fulfilled by Green Meadows. Patient bookings are of paramount importance and the foundation of a comprehensive level of patient care yet this ‘simple’ role seems to escape Green Meadows. Patients are happy to make commitments and travel to agreed locations in order to receive medical treatment, and appreciate the strains on the GP services, however when these journeys are a waste of time, and one is left untreated and in pain, it’s understandable to be left with huge doubts in the capabilities of their GP.
I will not continue to be registered at Green Meadows as have many experiences of inadequate help and service coupled with somewhat abrupt communication.
I now need to look for other methods by which to get pain control and treatment.
