"Rampton hospital"

About: Rampton Hospital

(as a relative),

My brother has been in rampton over 6 years and received treatment and had good care but last week in a community meeting he was abused by another patient he was name called in an unpleasand way after the meeting he asked for safeguarding over a week ago and nothing has been done.  He has to go through bullying on an ongoing basis which is not nice especially if nothing is being done about it. He has also asked to be moved and nothing had been done about that either he is doing his best to ignore all the horrible name calling. Generally, hes doing really well in his treatment and hes going a medium secure next year so he doesnt need all this and something needs to be done.

Thank you for raising this issue. We are aware of the concerns that you have raised in regard to safeguarding and can confirm your relative is receiving support from the Clinical Team, including his allocated Social Worker in respect of this issue. We have a zero tolerance of verbal abuse at the Hospital and challenge any incidents which constitute bullying. Conversations are being held to make safeguarding personal for your relative and identify what would help him to feel safe. If you have ongoing concerns please contact his allocated Social Worker who can reassure you about the work being done with your relative.
