Last night we rushed our 10 year old to a/e since she was having a severe allergic reaction and by the time we arrived it was clear this was her first ever anaphylactic episode- the receptionist immediately directed us into children’s a/e to the nurses station. The nurses immediately recognised what was happening , sat her down , called a dr , gave oxygen did obs and within minutes she was given adrenaline. During all this they all remained calm , were wonderful with us her parents and were overall brilliant. I must commend the Dr we saw who was so calm, in control and managed the situation - including my anxiety- brilliantly. Our admission experience was also great . Thank you North Middx - surely what we need most from a/e is to know that in an emergency they are excellent.
"Excellent treatment of anaphylaxis "
