(as the patient),

I would like to say a massive thank you to Peter (Consultant Psychologist) from my local CMHT.

Over the last few years I have struggled with my mental health, and Peter has been a great support, never giving up on me. He is very understanding and has the ability to make the patient feel at ease. I found it very easy to be vulnerable around Peter, and it is clear that he is very knowledgeable in all things psychology because the refreshing perspectives he can bring along with his ability to continually break you free from irrational or potentially damaging thought processes. The most sensitive or complex of issues, Peter is able to listen and help. In the end it was found to be best for me to take medication, however, since my mind has stopped racing, I am now able to utilise more of the techniques that Peter taught me with success, and actually feel the benefit from them. I wholeheartedly believe there is no one more suited to the role than Peter.
