I recently gave birth to my daughter at the Borders General Hospital, Melrose in October 2019.
I would like to thank all of the midwives, doctors and staff there for their exceptional care during my time there. I cannot recall all names but the two midwives who assisted my labour were so patient and caring and a credit to the hospital. I ended up in theatre with a spinal block and forceps delivery and the doctor who performed this was just amazing - after a real panic on my behalf she helped to deliver my daughter safely and quickly. The anaesthetist working that day also helped to keep me very calm and magically took the pain away and I actually told him he was my new best friend!I would also like to thank (sorry cant remember names again) the two student midwives who looked after me following the birth of my daughter - they are both a real credit to the hospital!
Also a thank you to Claire who helped to make sure myself and my daughter were OK and done all tests before we were discharged from hospital the following day.
Overall I cannot recommend Borders General Hospital highly enough.
"A credit to the hospital"
