About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Diabetes care (Ward 10)

(as a service user),

Ward 10

Stay has been good, I'm getting better I have been in for 2 weeks

Communication with all staff is good, I am kept informed of everything, staff are excellent

The food is awful, the variety isn't good, I am diabetic so I get the same meals every day, cereal for breakfast and either omelette baked potato or sandwich for lunch, I like quiche and salad etc I have gone off meat so the menu is quite restrictive, my wife brings food in for me

Dear Uh140

Thank you for taking the time to feedback to us. It is always good to hear that communication between staff and patients is good and it is important that you are kept informed of everything in relation to your admission. I will pass this on to the staff in Ward 10, I am sure they will be delighted to hear you have had a good experience whilst being in the ward for the past 2 weeks.

With regards to food and menu choices I will pass this onto our colleagues in ISS - they are very good at receiving feedback and making changes based on what they are advised.
