"They are all credits to their professions"

About: Victoria Hospital (Kirkcaldy) Victoria Hospital / Physiotherapy Victoria Hospital / Trauma & orthopaedics

(as the patient),

I have spent ten days in Victoria Hospital in Kirkcaldy for recovery and rehabilitation from a badly broken ankle.

The treatment I have received from every member of staff from Doctors,Nurses, physios, Auxiliaries and domestic staff has been exemplary and always of the highest standard.

Every member of staff I have encountered has been attentive to any requirements I may have had. They’ve been sympathetic to any difficulties and have carried out all their duties with a smile and cheerful nature.

They are all credits to their professions and examples of how healthcare should be approached.

I will stop short of saying I would be happy to be an inpatient again as that would require another debilitating injury. But should the worst happen I’m confident the ward staff would make the event less stressful.

My only complaint would be that the engineering staff at Victoria need to address their HVAC parameters. The supply of freezing cold air into the ward was a daily occurrence every evening. I’m sure this could be easily rectified.

Dear Cryan

Thank you for your lovely comments about your experience in Victoria Hospital. I am delighted to receive your praise about the staff and will share this with them.

I am sorry to hear about your complaint about freezing cold air into the ward.

Can you clarify what ward you were in please and I will make sure that the specific team receives your comments and I shall report the freezing cold air to the Estates Department.

Thank you again for taking the time and hope you are recovering well at home.

Kind regards

Pauline
