About: Northwick Park Hospital / Accident and emergency

(as a service user),

Knew I had cellulitis in right leg!  Turned up at A&E about 7.30 pm and was seen about 11 pm.  All staff very courteous and caring.

When seen by Consultant, don't know name, he confirmed my diagnosis.  He offered me antibiotics.  I stated that these antibiotics now have no effect on my somewhat frequent infections over the years, so he prescribed a different antibiotic, and within about 12 days I was fully recovered.

I can't praise this doctor too highly for his care.

Thank you for posting about your recent experience in our A&E department at Northwick Park Hospital.

I was very pleased first of all that all the staff you came into contact with while waiting to be seen were courteous and caring.

It was also great to hear how well you were treated by the doctor who saw you, and that the antibiotics prescribed helped to ensure your infection was gone within 2 weeks.

It is always pleasing to hear when we get it right and I will ensure your kind sentiments are shared with the A&E team as a whole.
