"Homely"

About: University Hospital Monklands / Care of the Elderly (Wards 14,20,22)

(as a volunteer/advocate),

Ward 20

Staff very good, can't complain. Communication is good and I and my daughter are kept informed. Dr saved my life last year and arranged an operation to help me.

Staff come when I press the buzzer. Cleaning is great and they have just done the ward up.

Food is rubbish, the smell puts me off, they need to change the food. .

You could not improve on the ward as it is so homely.

Dear UHM10,

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience with our volunteer. The staff will be delighted to receive such positive feedback; we recognise the importance of good communication with you as the "patient" but it's really important that there's good communication and your family is involved as well.

I'm pleased that you've metioned the cleaning staff, they play a significant and importnat role as part of the hospital team.

I'll make sure all the different staff groups get to hear about your feedback and I'll also share your comments about the food with the catering team.

Kind regards

Rick
