"Having a series of black outs"

About: University Hospital Hairmyres / Cardiology

(as the patient),

I was advised to have a Tilt Table Test by the Cardiologist. The test was very dramatic but the staff were wonderful and knew immediately what the problem was, ie I needed to have a pacemaker fitted, I had my pacemaker fitted in October, again all the medical staff were wonderful and I can't praise them high enough. I would like to say in all my experiences with the National Health Service which have been many, I have always had first rate treatment, courtesy and understanding from everyone involved with my issues. Let me finish by saying that we are very fortunate to have the best health service in the world. A very grateful patient.

Dear fivestring

Thank you for your feedback which you have posted on the care opinion website. The tilt table test can be very challenging to go through and I am delighted to hear that you felt the staff were wonderful whilst undergoing this. I hope you are feeling the benefit of having your pacemaker fitted and I will ensure all departments that you would have been looked after in are notified of your comments – I know they will be delighted that they have had a positive impact on a small part of your journey.

Wishing you all the best for the future

Kind Regards

Kirsty
