"Ambulance from Hexham area to Cramlington Hospital"

About: North East Ambulance Service NHS Foundation Trust

I was in a lot of pain overnight and at about 4.00am on the 26th August 2019, I called 111, they asked me questions and told me an ambulance would come to my home. The ambulance arrived quickly, the crew of three, one man who gave me morphine, two females, one of whom was on a placement were excellent, so helpful and understanding. When we arrived at Accident & Emergency it was very busy and the crew had to stay with me until there was a bed available, which meant they did not finish their shift on time but still they were smiling and not complaining - very professional. I wish to thank all three of them for being so wonderful and for putting me at ease.
