I had arrived at the Royal Cornwall Hospital at Treliske after the receptionists had left. I was looking for a friend who was in a critical condition. I had been told by his wife that he was in the CCU. I looked around the hospital and the A& E department and was directed to the HDU but my friend was not there and they kindly directed me to another unit. Here again the staff were most helpful. One staff nurse in particular went out of her way to find out which unit my friend was in, despite the fact that she had just come off her shift. After a number of phone calls she took the time to physically check the different units and eventually take me to the CDU where my friend was. Clearly it was a misunderstanding on my part, but I cannot speak highly enough of Staff nurse Rhiannon for her kindness and patience in going out of her way to help
"A helpful nurse"
