"Best Decision Of My Life"

I had keloid scars either side of my neck and these were removed several times during my time at West Suffolk, they returned bigger and scarier each time. I was desperate and my confidence was so low I wouldn’t leave the house, my life was on hold. My desperation drove me to a private clinic in Nottingham which offered a new “cell harvest” procedure which cost me £6000, unfortunately this had no effect and my scars became even worse. My own research kept taking me in circles and I decided I needed to either do something about it or accept they would never go. Being disappointed with my care at West Suffolk I asked my GP to refer me to Ipswich hospital instead hoping my luck would change. I met a doctor and he was great suggesting he could inject steroids into the keloids under pressure, this hurt and my scar became swollen but after a week it reduced. Over the course of the next two months the scars flattened dramatically, I went back and he carried out the same process again. This continued for the next two years visiting the hospital another two times, each visit delivered better results. I’m writing this review because I’m fixed, my scars are practically gone and I can’t explain how happy I am. I’ve got confidence and can now move on with my life, I can’t thank the hospital and the doctor enough.
