15/10/19 Spoke with the doctor on phone and he prescribed me anti biotics for an ongoing urinary tract infection. He advised me also to book an appointment to be examined by a urologist and left forms for me to make contact and to do so.
I began taking the medication - Selexid - the same day, which I did, and the earliest appointment I was offered was 23/12/19 at Yeovil hospital. On 18/10/19 I noticed blood in my urine and also that I had lumps in one of my testicles, as a result of which I went to the surgery and was told that the doctor was on duty for the late surgery and that I could book a call back, which I did.
I then waited at home from 3.30pm and had a call at 6pm from the receptionist at the practice on behalf of the doctor to ask if I was taking the medication prescribed 3 days earlier. I said I was and told the receptionist that I needed to speak with the doctor because of the further developments in my condition, but despite continuing to wait for a call from him, none came.
It is now Friday, and with the weekend upon us I have no chance of seeking any advice from the doctor or anyone else at the surgery before the coming week.
I am extremely annoyed, disappointed, and very worried because of the change in my condition, especially as I have to wait virtually until Christmas to see anyone else and to have an examination. I fully appreciate how busy the doctor is but to deny me even a phone call is unacceptable.
