First time ever to be admitted to hospital. I really didn’t know what to expect. I was admitted from GP from feeling unwell with Fever, very bad headache, high temperature and dizzy. They were doing all sort of test including lumbar puncture. A staff holds my hand and keep me talking which calm me down and doctors knows exactly what he’s doing. Blood test came back and my blood was highly infected so I was hook up with blood pressure monitor left arm and 2 IV drips right arm. I was absolutely terrify. On my first night somebody would checked up on me every 2 hours. I was suffering from headache and a staff would be there comforting me. In the morning I had diarrhoea as side affects from strong antibiotics. I was so scared and embarrassed. A staff calm me down and she said “ darling you’re sick. It happened. It’s fine and we’re going to look after you” I was moved to a side room. The staff made me feel so comfortable and relax. I also had doctor and his assistant from ward 34. I was told I had septicaemia. I was in there for a full week. Thank you to all the nurses, staff and doctors. I went in there thinking of the worst and I’m so grateful for everything they’ve done for me. Thank you.
