Live-in carers varied considerably. Personal care, which was complex, was always good. The additional support eg. getting meals, help with light housework, was variable. None of the carers was able to drive and one didn’t cook!
There were difficulties with privacy for my wife and I to be alone for a time in the evening despite requests for this to happen.
Over a period of two and a half months, we had three carers due to a planned holiday for one and a decision to return home by another.
The carer who lived in whilst my wife went on holiday for two weeks was excellent in all respects.
"Excellent care mostly "
