"My sore Leg"

About: Royal Aberdeen Children's Hospital / Surgical Paediatrics (Children's Surgery)

(as a parent/guardian),

My son had a benign tumour in his tibia bone and had to get it removed so He was a little bit scared and nervous. He had a really bad couple of days but when Sarah the play nurse came in she lifted his spirit right up by making slime and getting him to the play area! She has been amazing and so thankful she came in to help my son.

Thank you Blue Ted for taking the time to post this feedback about the play service. it sounds as if Sarah did a fantastic job of helping your son get over his difficult few days. Play is such an important part of the service we provide in the Childrens Hospital as it really helps the children to cope with their experiences as well as being great fun. I will pass on your lovely feedback to the play team and thanks again.
