About: Stoke Mandeville Hospital / Trauma and orthopaedics

(as a relative),

Whilst visiting my mother on ward one at Stoke Mandeville Hospital recently, I was disgusted to here a staff member tell others to bugger off home as they had work to do. I had been there for about 2 hours and the staff that were there at that time were rushed off their feet. They fed patients, put them back to bed even moved furniture.

However when I left about 30 minutes later some of the staff that had come on were sat at the nurses station having a drink.

All the time my mother has been there the staff have been great and the care is excellent.

However I feel they have been let down by one staff members comment.

Dear Sir/Madam

Thank you for taking the time to share your mostly positive experience at Amersham Hospital. We are delighted to hear that you are happy with the care your mother received from our dedicated trauma and orthopaedics staff at what may have been a difficult and sensitive time for you.

I am sorry to read of the staff member's comment.

Please be assured your feedback will be passed on.
