"I look forward to working with them for as long as I need"

About: General practices in Lanarkshire

(as the patient),

I would like to thank and congratulate The North Lanarkshire Neuro Rehab Team introduced by my MS nurse Julie

The Neuro Team are Julie (MS Nurse), Laura (OT)-Helping with Memory at the minute among other things, Which I’ve already felt the information useful. Karen (Physio), and Emily (Speech/Swallowing/Breathing). Working out of Kenilworth Medical Centre and Bron Way (Outpatient Facilitates) Cumbernauld.

After Misdiagnosis 7/8 years ago from MS to Neurosarcoidosis , Back to MS this March 2019. I was placed under the care of an MS nurse who helped me and also move me on to the Team, who have in a short time made me feel welcome as an individual not just another Patient. Trust is huge part in things for me now and it is easy to do with the team. I’ve learned lots of coping skills and get new ones each visit. I look forward to working with them for as long as I need.

Thank you girls

Speech and language therapy provides treatment, support and care for children and adults who have difficulties with communication, or with eating, drinking and swallowing.

Dear Vegus

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your experiences with the North Lanarkshire Neuro Rehab Team. Although this is a fairly new service in Lanarkshire, the staff of Nurses and Therapists have loads of experience and have found that team work- with the Patient at the centre- brings the best results. I am glad that you feel welcomed and feel able to trust the staff. It sounds like you are able to make the most of this support and that it is giving you new skills.

I will pass your kind words on to Emily, who is the Speech and Language Therapist on this team and also please accept my good wishes for your continued wellbeing.

Kindest Regards

Pauline

Dear Vegus,

On behalf of the Team l would like to thank you so much for taking the time to feed back your thoughts through care opinion.

I was extremely pleased to hear that you have felt the value of being treated as an individual by Karen (physio) and the rest of the team, resulting in you feeling welcome and hopefully relaxed.

It's great to hear that you have already learnt some effective coping skills provided by a team that you have been able to trust.

May l wish you all the best in the future and l hope that you continue to develop your management strategies supported by the team.

Regards

Karen Black
