"She didn't feel well looked after"

About: Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital (Wonford) / Accident and emergency

(as a relative),

My elderly mother,  needed an ambulance in October 2019.  She was in pain.  After a long wait for an ambulance she was taken to A&E, RDE Wonford.  She waited until 2 am the following day for a bed.  The patients were told A&E was being deep-cleaned and they had to wait in a paediatric ward.  There were only hard chairs to sit on.

Having been given a bed and finally getting to sleep she was wakened at 5-30 am to answer a dementia test.  She doesn't have dementia.  She didn't feel well looked after.

Thank you for your response and apology. I'm a bit puzzled as I received this today (2020) which is two months after my original post above.

Unfortunately my mother is no longer alive for me to check the details thoroughly with her.

I hope it doesn't happen again for another seriously ill patient.
