I am now discharged back to GP care-which is fine. I have a good GP who is happy to re refer me, if necessary. My experience of the Bedale Centre is good. I am able to use the central booking system, although I know others find it difficult to reach an actual person, to ask for assistance. My main concern is that the post of Consultant Psychiatrist has seen a number of locums come and go. I think I saw three, different people. Only one had up to date information on my medication dosage. I was on the right drug but not on a therapeutic dose. This meant that I had continuing episodes of illness which could have been prevented. I am now well and "on track" with my GP prescribing an effective maintenance dose. I am indebted to the gentleman who immediately noted that I was taking an ineffective dose of medication and he did something about it. This restored my faith and confidence in my treatment.
