"Nursed me back to health"

About: Dr Gray's Hospital / High Dependancy Unit

(as the patient),

I was rushed into Dr Grays hospital in Elgin with a Massive GI Bleed. I had to have major surgery and needed 11 pints of blood during the operation. Had it not been for the surgeon I would not be here today. I was very lucky to survive. I spent several days in ward 8 high dependency being looked after by Angels. Not only do I owe my life to the surgeons but I will never forget the Angels in ward 8 who looked after me during the worst time of my life and nursed me back to health.

Dear gr2019

I was delighted to read you very positive post on Care Opinion about Ward 8/HDU in Dr Grays Hospital Elgin. It sounds like you had a really challenging health experience and was comforted to hear you had such excellent care from both the surgeons and the nurses involved in your care.

We are very fortunate to have such dedicated staff working in Dr Grays Hospital who continue to deliver person centred care. Positive comments are a real morale boost for staff and I will forward these comments to the staff concerned

Thank you for taking the time to feedback your experience at what must be a difficult time for you and your family.

I do hope you are starting to feel better now and recovering well

Kindest regards

Yvonne Wright (Chief Nurse)

Dr Grays Hospital
