Good points:

1) Excellent cleanliness everywhere

2) Pleasant accommodation & surroundings

3) Helpful & understanding staff

4) Good food & plenty of choices

5) Structured day helpful

Could have been better:

1) Speedier consultant assessment on admittance for quicker medication.  Waiting a whole week for help is too long.

2) Level of assistance in dining room varies widely amongst HCA staff.

Good morning Corvuscw37,

many thanks for your positive comments with regards to the cleanliness and pleasant surroundings on the ward, im pleased to hear you found the staff helpful and understanding and you enjoyed the food and choice during your staff with us. The staff ensure we offer a structured day for all and we constantly discuss the daily activities with our patients and can change things around to suit the majority.

Please be assured that I will pass your comments with regards to what we can do better to the ward consultants, we presently have two on cherry ward and we try to ensure all our patients are seen as quickly as possible on their admission to the ward, I wish to apologise that this did not happen on your admission. I will also speak to the staff at our next ward meeting about providing a consistent approach during mealtimes.
