"Exemplary treatment"

I accompanied my husband to the Day Surgery Unit at QEQM Margate on Monday 4th October 2019. As soon as we arrived we were given truly excellent service. The nursing staff who carried out pre-op checks were welcoming, informative and knowledgeable and at no time did we feel patronised. We were given all of the information we needed and informed of my husband's position on the treatment list. The standard of care carried out during my husband's surgical procedure (under local anaesthetic) was second to none and he was kept informed throughout the procedure of what was happening. On returning to the ward after surgery, again the nursing staff were amazing and although it was very busy, at no time did we feel we were being rushed. In conclusion the entire staff in the Day Surgery Unit were outstanding and they are a credit, not only to the hospital, but to the NHS in general.
