"flu jab"

I phoned for a flu jab appointment today and was booked in for November 23rd, this seems to be a disproportionate amount of time to wait to me . I don't want preferential treatment,But because of all the self inflicted and indulgent people ie drink, drugs, smoking, obesity and all the associated illnesses and ailments resulting from these things is why the health service is on its knees. My point is I try to minimise the risks by avoiding all these things and troubling the health service very little we all have to take responsibility for our own well being, but I have to wait halfway through the winter to get vaccinated.,when the vulnerable time is the change of seasons.I don't want a generic reply, your opinion is very important to us thank you, this just a point of view.
