"Lack of care accident and emergency"

About: New Cross Hospital / Accident and emergency

Went to accident and emergency by ambulance as couldn't get in car had fall on knee leg far too swollen to sit in car as on warfarin

Ambulance paramedic crew excellent but accident and emergency lacking care.

I'm on warfarin and have a pacemaker.

I was taken in by ambulance on stretcher waited my turn as hospital this time was busy.

I was then transferred onto a bed.

Feeling rather ill.

I was the put on a wheelchair with knee support and man in charge? Said take her to minors and it will be xrayed. So I was wheeled to the main waiting room, and left there for hours.

No checks were done on my obs ieblood pressure ECG bloods etc I was just left feeling rather I'll after my fall feeling very sick tired and upset.

I asked my husband to check at reception who said there were 4 in front on me then I stopped a nurse and she said have you been triaged I said no.she said she would scheck and then come back and loudly and rather rudeley said it doesn't matter if you've come by ambulance you have to wait your turn like everyone else!

How rude.

Anyway had xray still no obs done saw my gp next day who gave me antibiotics and pain killers nothing offered at hospital.

Couldn't wait to get out had enough very tired is this the way heart patients are always treated it seems the norm in this hospital every time I attend.

Accident and emergency need a good overall looking at.

Yes I know they work hard.

Well some of them but they lack caring skills and are a lot of time are downright rude.
