I have been visitng the hosital on a regular basis (for the past 9 months) as my mother has been in and out of hospital and on each occasion, I find myself hunting for a Wheelchair.
As my mother has difficulty walking and breathing heavy so I need a Wheelchair to bring her into the hospital.
At one point I had to run around the hospital, not only in A&E but throughout different departments and wards to obtain a Wheelchair.
I find this unacceptable that in 2019 this is the case..... especially when my mother needs URGENT treatment and I feel angry, frustrated and disgusted that I have to run around the whole hospital looking for a Wheelchair.
This SHOULD NOT be happening.
I have been to other hospitals in the area, Hackney Hospital and they have Wheelchairs lined up for patients and visitors to use - so WHY IS THIS NOT THE CASE FOR NEWHAM HOSPITAL??? PLEASE CAN SOMETHING BE DONE ABOUT THIS URGENTLY!!!!
