I saw a doctor yesterday at the fracture clinic where he put me on the waiting list to have bunion surgery and also gave me a slip of paper to take to the X-Ray department round the corner from the clinic.
I sat down in the waiting area at X-Ray and very shortly afterwards a member of staff came and took away the slip of paper.
I then waited and waited while people who arrived after me were attended to.
I spoke to members of staff on two occasions to ask if they knew when I'd be seen but neither of them worked in the X-Ray and were unable to help me.
I had an appointment at my GP's surgery and eventually the time came when I had to leave so I went to try and find someone in one of the X-Ray rooms.
As I approached the door it was being closed so I said "hello, excuse me" at which point the door was slammed in my face.
I then had to leave the hospital or miss my appointment at my GP's surgery but before leaving I asked one of the patients waiting for an X-Ray that if someone called my name would she mind saying I'd waited till the last minute but had to leave without being seen.
I would like to know where my X-Ray request slip ended up, why I was never called, why the X-Ray room door was slammed shut when I tried to get some information and how I can get the X-Ray the doctor needs.
