About: Pinderfields General Hospital / Accident and emergency

My mum was admired through A&E on 26.09.19. The experience in A&E was good, the consultant was efficient and all investigations were carried out within an hour of her attendance.

However the rest of the experience was not so positive. Following initial investigations my mum who is 78years of age was then waiting in a cubicle on A&E for over 8 hours, which is unacceptable.

I would highly recommend A&E but not the rest of the service at Mud York’s. Sadly this is not an isolated incident and one managers are very aware of but are not managing effectively.

I am sorry that your experience was mixed and hope the positives of your experience outweigh the negatives. Our aim is for all patients to be seen and treated as quickly as possible.

When the department is very busy, this is not always possible.
