After suffering a heart attack / All staff who I came in contact with during my 5 day stay at Hairmyres Hospital were excellent .
After discharge, ( I didn't require any stents or surgery as I had a platelet / plaque event and my echogram was clear and my angiogram was also clear ) I was asked if I would like to attend an 8 week rehabilitation course twice a week . I found the course excellent as it gave you the confidence to work your heart through exercise which was closely monitored by the Physio team along with a Cardio nurse also being present. There were also talks given on Medication / Psychology and how we should exercise safely to get maximum benefit for our heart.
A first class course which I would highly recommend to all Cardio patients to take up.
Well done the NHS and once again a big thanks to all the Nurses ,Physios , Doctors, Specialists even the Cleaners, Porters and Kitchen staff , for a first class service.
"Well done and a big thanks"
