"Staff who are born for the job stand out"

About: Crosshouse Hospital / Accident & Emergency

(as a relative),

My daughter had to return to hospital due to severe abdominal pain, she was very distressed and exhausted. She was attended to by David, who was so good with her. Staff who are born for the job stand out and David did. His positive attitude, sense of humour and understanding put my daughter at ease. Thankyou so much for all you did David.

Alan the Dr was also terrific, he was so easy to speak to, reassuring and understood my daughter's worries. Thankyou to you too Alan.

Dear Cmcj,

I'm sorry to hear your daughter was in so much pain she had to return to hospital. When you are in pain you want reassurance. I'm pleased that David was able to put her at ease.

We use all feedback on this site to help our team get it right every time and we firmly believe we can learn from excellence. Your feedback about Davis's sense of humour is important. Laughter promotes an over all sense of well being and can even temporarily relieve pain!

It is really important that patients feel able to speak to and understood by any clinician they interact with. I am sure Alan will be delighted to hear that you thought he was terrific.

I hope your daughter is now recovering well at home. You can tell her that your feedback will be shared with our whole team which will brighten up their day.
