I came into A& E on Sunday morning, from the first nurse I seen. She was polite and helpful and I felt like she was genuinely concerned (I’ve had previous experience with doctors who clearly aren’t) after them taking me to resuscitations department in A& E the doctors and nurses there were very pleasant, made me aware of what they were thinking not only what they wanted to do. (Personally find it very helpful when things are explained in this manner so I can understand myself where they are coming from). After a intense morning in A& E I was then transferred to MAU where even upon arrival I was greeted by staff with smiles. Once I was put in a room a nurse named Kim then told me what has happened so far, what the plan was for the future and what had to happen at that point in time. She answered all questions I had there and then and if she didn’t know she found out for me. The other nurse on, Darren I think his name was. Was also a massive help who took away the daunting feeling of being in hospital and helped to make me and the others in the room relaxed, over the 3 days I’ve been here. EVERY single person I have had to interact with has been amazing and they have all helped in their own ways to make this journey easier for myself. A massive thank you to all the staff in A& E & MAU-BGH
