I attended the A&E department early hours of Sunday morning (06:30). After registering and feeling extremely unwell at reception I was taken through for my nurses assessment within 5 mins. The nursing staff and healthcare assistants worked fantastically together where I had my observations taken, cannula inserted and bloods taken within 10 mins. Furthermore, as soon as staff new I was at the early stages of pregnancy they all assisted and contacted the relevant teams. I was taken to a private room where nurses provided me with the necessary treatment to manage my symptoms to make me as comfortable as possible. I was assessed, treated, given information, reassured, provided follow up advice and discharged all within 4 hours. This was a very stressful time for myself and my husband but the staff were incredible. I'm truly grateful. As a fellow healthcare professional we are not always the best patients, and if we would recommend a hospital that should mean a lot. I would defintely recommend the PAH and would trust them looking after myself and family if necessary in the future.
"Fantastic service"
