I visited my GP as I hadn’t been feeling great. I mainly put this down to being 16 weeks pregnant but once I explained my symptoms my GP was on the ball and sent me to Monklands to rule out the possibility of a PE.
I was seen very quickly when I arrived at Monklands and was quickly taken to ambulatory care where I was assessed and had appropriate tests carried out. The staff here were fantastic at keeping me up to date and putting my mind at ease. Unfortunately I had to be admitted awaiting a Doppler and a CT scan. Later that evening I was admitted to ward 17 and the staff could not have nicer.
During my stay in ward 17 the staff were so considerate of how I was feeling and ensured I had privacy when I was upset. All nursing staff and doctor Emma went above and beyond to put my mind at ease. I was very concerned at this point about the health of my baby and they organised a scan for me to check everything was ok. So a big massive thank you to them for that as this totally put my mind at ease. Can’t fault the care I received! All the staff are an absolute credit to the NHS and I can’t thank them enough for all the care, support and compassion I received.
A big thank you to Michelle, Ashleigh, Emma (doctor) and everyone else involved in my care.
"Amazing care"
