"Very good care at A&E"

I unfortunately had to attend the emergency department at Torbay Hospital yesterday, which was extremely busy, but the staff were amazing.

I have serious long term condition that required urgent medication, I was there for about five hours as unfortunately the telephones and computers system went down across the hospital.

The poor staff were amazing, from Consultants, Doctors, Nurses, Health Care assistants, even the cleaners (someone spilled coffee everywhere, she cleaned up immediately).

Some of the patients waiting to be seen were getting verbally aggressive to staff as they had been waiting a long time, but the staff handled them politely and with good grace.

Nurses that were treating me said they had not had a break since coming on shift in the morning (by then it was about 6pm) not even a drink!

So just wanted to say what a great job they were all doing, I received excellent care and that they all need to be applauded not verbally abused.

We all should be very proud of the NHS
