"It was so easy to get an appointment"

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

It was so easy to get an appointment! I was told by the receptionists that I could create an account to book appointments online but as the telephone system is efficient, I don't really see the need. Although I'm happy with the admin and healthcare staff, the waiting times can be long. I was kept waiting for over 30 mins past my time last week!

I am glad that the appointment system is working well for you. Since we changed the system last year we have had some inevitable teething problems but hope that we are managing to address these.

We are aware that waiting times can sometimes be a problem. It can be difficult to predict how long a consultation may take, if longer than the allotted slot this results in an overrun. This in turn can make the whole clinic run late. Generally the new appointment system has improved this for the doctors however it has not resolved this issue. We will continue to look at this.
