"Fantastic care , attitude and caring abilities"

About: NHS 24 / NHS 24 (111 service) University Hospital Wishaw / General Medicine (Wards 5 & 8)

(as a relative),

Attended NHS 24 on Saturday night and referred to Ambulatory Care . Fantastic care , attitude and caring abilities. My husband is very nervous they picked this up straight away and had so much patience. Thank you so much

They listened, they took into consideration our views and they made us feel supported and informed. Even the the doctor discussed with the nurse my husbands situation and concerns and not sure what it was. Great team work and teaching.

Dear Celticfc

Thanks for sharing positive feedback on Care Opinion. I hope your husband is doing much better. It sounds as though the staff within the Out of Hours and at Wishaw General Hospital were able to put your husband at ease, which is great. It's fantastic that you felt listened to and your views were considered.

I see you have mentioned that you attended at NHS 24. It may be helpful to explain that, following a call to NHS 24 on 111, should a patient be referred for face to face assessment at the Out of Hours Service, their care is passed to their local Health Board who have responsibility for Out of Hours services. NHS Lanarkshire will see your positive comments which is great.

Should you wish to provide any specific feedback on the call made to 111 prior to attending, then I would be delighted to hear from you. I can be contacted on 0141 337 4582 or by email at patient.experience@nhs24.scot.nhs.uk

Thanks again for getting in touch.

With best wishes

Shona

Dear Celticfc

Many thanks for taking the time to post feedback on the care your husband received whilst attending the Ambulatory Care Unit here at University Hospital Wishaw.

Your positive comments are very welcome and I will ensure they are fed back to the staff who work so hard in ensuring the care we deliver to patients is of a high standard. It is always nice to get positive feedback and I will ensure this will be shared across team here.

Thank you once again and Best Wishes.
