My family have been patients here for 4 years. At the beginning we loved them. So caring and compassionate. My wife developed cancer and the care was amazing. Nothing was too much. Unfortunately, a consequence of my wife’s ill health and other stresses, I abused alcohol as a medication. When I sought help the first locum doctor told me to man up and the second lady partner doctor lectured me. Thankfully the senior partner took control and I am delighted say I am well on the road of recovery. However, my wife’s health concerns have remained. Her most recent scare just weeks ago. We have moved out of the village to the other side of town. Although the government and nhs websites insist that there are not geographical catchments, we have been told we must find another GP. We explained a preference for continuity in my wife’s care and was told we could have 60 days. To enforce that, on Friday I took my wife to Whitchurch to collect her meds. Written the bag was a note stating that this was the last prescription to be provided.
In summary, used to be great, now it’s a business.
