"Being patched up after taking fall"

About: Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh at Little France / General Medicine

(as a service user),

After falling during running I needed stitches in my lip and check for any head injury so I went to Edinburgh Royal Infirmary at Little France minor injury unit. Within 5 mins wait I was seen by an excellent Practitioner Nurse Lauryn who went through all the checks in a professional, caring and thorough way. She and her colleagues cleaned me up and stitched up my lip. I felt extremely lucky to have such service and can’t thank the team enough for their care.

Dear Runner in Edinburgh

Thank you so much for sharing your feedback with us following your recent experiences at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh.

I was so sorry to read that you had fallen whilst out running. I was pleased to read that you were seen quickly by the staff and that Lauryn was able to care for you.

I have shared your lovely feedback with the team who I am sure will be delighted to read your kind words - especially Lauryn.

I do hope that are recovering quickly so that you can be back out running again soon.

With best wishes

Jeannette
