"Gallbladder removal"

About: Queen Margaret Hospital / Day Surgery Queen Margaret Hospital / General Surgery

(as the patient),

I had my gallbladder removed on a Monday in Sept at Queen Margaret Hospital, Dunfermline.

I received excellent care in particular from the nurse called Karen who was a caring, calming influence.

I have a question for the surgeon as when he spoke to me after my operation I was still very out of it after the anaesthetic. I think he said they had to make a larger incision to get the gallbladder out. Please can you check my notes as I would be interested to know what state my gallbladder and gallstones were in when they were removed as I had been suffering discomfort for a long time.

I would appreciate any feedback.
