"Car Parking"

About: Bassetlaw Hospital / Clinical haematology

I attended the haematology dept today for blood tests. I found the arrangements for car parking very confusing. The only pay point near physiotherapy accepted debit/credit cards. There was no information as to where the cash pay point was situated. Having difficulty negotiating steps I made my way to Main Reception to enquire and was advised that I needed to use the one adjacent to the ambulance entrance near A&E. I then had to 're negotiate the steps to get back to my car. Everyone today using the car park seemed unclear of what to do. Surely some clear instructions are needed. One gentleman I spoke to said he didn't have to pay as the barriers were up!!

A visit for a simple blood test turned into a hike. Please improve signage and instruction/information. As a retired General Manager at BDGH in time past. I can only say it wouldn't have happened in my day! !!!!!

Hi Susan Thank you for sharing your experience in our car parks at Bassetlaw Hospital. I apologise for the confusion. I have shared your comments with our car parking providers who are already looking at the signage. I totally agree the signs should be clear and concise avoiding any confusion and anxiety for our patients and visitors. Thanks for raising this with us.
