On Christmas Eve 2018, I was the lucky recipient of "massive" spinal surgery by the brilliant Consultant Neurosurgeon and his theatre team. The Consultant's so-skilled work removed the debilitating pain from my life and replaced it with a quality that had been missing for years. To say "Thank you" seems so inadequate.
This was followed by an 11-day 'residence' in Salford Royal and I am so grateful for the amazing standards maintained by staff at all levels (cleaning/ catering/ caring) during that period despite inevitable staff shortages caused by the festive season.
Two follow-up appointments with the Consultant have completed my treatment.
When people compliment me on my amazing recovery and current ease of moving around, I never fail to sing the praises of Salford Royal and, in particular, the incomparable Consultant.
