I went to hospital on Sunday in an ambulance with SEVERE gallbladder pain. I was administered morphine by the paramedics yet when I arrived at hospital I was treated like I was just in the way. I don’t think the doctor heard me or listened to how much pain I was in. They sent me home on paracetamol and buscupan. (My doctor had already given me stronger pain relief from my last attack three months ago) They also said I had slight a infection but not high and asked if I want antibiotics in an iv. I replied I have no idea I’m not a doctor?! The doctor disappeared and discharged me.
I was left to carry my bag alone and sit in a cold waiting room while my husband had to drive 40 mins to collect me. I’ve been home for three days now and haven’t managed to eat, still in pain, I can’t get comfortable and even though my doctor saw my bloods and gave me antibiotics straight away, I don’t feel better only worse. I’m too scared to go back to a and e and have bad treatment again.
