"Warm and professional"

I recently went to the Women's Unit for a colposcopy, feeling quite nervous about the experience. The staff there - specialist nurse, consultant and nurse manager - were all absolutely lovely. They explained everything, were professional, and above all were so kind in their approach. It's not the most pleasant of procedures, but they made the experience as calm and pleasant as it could have been. Plus the atmosphere between the staff was obviously a friendly one. It was exactly what you hope a hospital visit will be like, but so rarely is.
