Arrived in time for my appointment in antenatal for a scan only to be re-directed to radiology.
For a fact, the hospital knows that they send the incorrect details to patients detailing where they need to be yet clearly expect that the patient will be redirected in time for them to make their appointment.
This isn't necessarily the case if the patient has to queue at reception, have information checked, find the 'correct' department, queue at the correct reception only then to find out whether or not the doctor will see them.
A receptionist told me in no uncertain terms that they are 'fighting' to get the correct information on their letters.
It is beyond me that a fight needs to be had here - clearly enough patients are missing their appointments due to this error that the hospital knows about!
The receptionist told me "you'll have to wait and see if the doctor is good enough to give you another appointment"...really...???
"Antenatal and Radiology are not the same..."
